BlankZ®, a new line of white stuffed animals that can be colored with washable markers, required an identity that showed how fun this process could be as well as standing out on the shelves of stores like Target, Michaels and JoAnn Fabrics. Packaging for multiple sizes of these animals, as well as a logo that could work well in multiple settings were needed. See more at the link below!

A fun side project, I’m initiating a public speaking club at CDMP, similar to a Toastmasters. Of course we needed a name and a logo! Hope to update this post soon with poster and email invites as SpeakEasy kicks off in April 2012.

In 2011, I decided to participate in Create-A-Thon with my friends at Hypno Design. My assignment was to design a logo, website, brochure, postcard, bumper sticker and t-shirt (for free) in 24 hours… starting NOW! In a flurry of activity, our team (a copywriter, web developer and myself) started at 8am on Thursday. By 8am on Friday, we were done. And as a side bonus, our client at the Search & Rescue Dog Foundation cried tears of joy when we presented the work. All in all, a successful 24 hours! Check out the site here.

I had a blast working on the identity for this vintage motorcycle repair shop in Rochester, NY. Business cards, signage and the suggestion of a rockabilly style button-up to help promote the shop were all part of the package.

When a friend of mine in Brooklyn approached me about designing the identity and website for his brainchild, a social site based around cooking with friends, I jumped at the chance. Now, over a year later, the site has launched and I wish them all the success in the world. Check it out here!

A buyer for the Dots line of stores contacted me needing a package design for a new product of “nail art” they hoped to launch. I designed a number of options for the packaging, and the final package chosen has been in production since the end of 2010. Look for nail art in a Dots near you – it’s 3D!

Freddy Clark, a professional photographer, approached me to design his logo. He was looking for something professional but friendly, with a visual style that would appeal to his largely female client base. Amy Lynn Andrews is one of these people who is always doing 75 things at once. She came to me needing a logo, but also needed a book cover design, a website design and help advertising her new book about time management. The design of this logo came together perfectly when I realized that Rebekah Byrd’s signature looked a bit like a bird itself. With a little encouragement, the final design is a graceful representation of both her gentle, sensitive and unique style of photography and the memorable name “Byrd”. The bird-like “B” lends itself to the watermarking necessary for a professional photographer.
